To start off with,this is the only film in world cinema, to have one cast-one crew unit. The film is definitely a new attempt; it is a story of an Afghan man confessing his sins of killing his daughter and wife to his image in a closed room. The film is completely shot in a closed room. The film is made for a completely different audience. The film has a brilliant screenplay and the narration is very interesting. The film could have been a little shorter. The film boasts of some very good technology and Ratchana has excelled as a director. She knows how to direct an art film and did not unnecessarily commercialize it. Hats off to Ratchana for making such a bold film. Now coming to the performance, Abhishek is flawless. He has excelled in the role of Omar .His expressions are just world class. When you see Abhishek in the film, you tend to compare him with Mr Amitabh Bachan in Black and Kamalhassan in Guna (but off course not their star status). Abhishek has excelled in all aspects of acting in this film.He has lived the character.Today we can call him God of acting in AFI. My respect for Ratchana and Abhishek has increased drastically after seeing this film. This is one of the boldest decisions they have taken in their lives.This film is clearly for a very niche market. You need to be extremely tasteful and intelligent to enjoy a movie of this caliber. So for those who are expecting wholesale entertainment, I strictly advice you not to see this film as you will hate it! If you want to watch a meaningful artistic movie, Please watch this film. This film will definitely not do well. It will be declared a flop by the audience, but when it comes to jury this film will be all time blockbuster for them!!!! Hope more films are made like this.But if you see it from the box office collections,this film is going to be a big looser.It is not going to even break even.
